Job Description
Are you passionate about solving fundamental challenges in reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems?
You should consider joining a pioneering European AI Agent company as a Research Scientist to help advance the theoretical foundations of how AI systems learn and make decisions in complex environments.
Your work will be instrumental in contributing to their AI's ability to understand and interact with real-world interfaces through reinforcement learning. They already have a product which performs significantly higher in human task benchmarks compared to competitors and they're only just getting started. Now they are building a world-class research team to achieve scientific breakthroughs in reinforcement learning approaches for autonomous systems.
Key Research Areas:
- Conduct novel reinforcement learning research for future publications
- Advance the theoretical foundations of AI agent architectures
- Pioneer new approaches to optimize learning pipelines
- Push the boundaries of state-of-the-art agent performance
- Investigate innovative solutions for agent decision-making
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Deep theoretical understanding of reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems
- Research experience with large language models and their application in AI agents
- Ability to lead independent research initiatives
Nice to have:
- Experience with agent-based systems and autonomous decision-making
- Background in synthetic data generation for RL training
This role offers the opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research in reinforcement learning for AI agents. You'll be investigating fundamental questions at the intersection of RL, LLMs, and autonomous systems. The company values scientific innovation and will provide an environment conducive to pursuing novel research directions and publishing papers in the future.
They offer competitive compensation of Tier 1 AI lab salaries, plus attractive equity options. The position is remote in Europe, with some regular travel to meet with the team in Paris.
If you're excited about conducting pioneering research in reinforcement learning and want to contribute to the theoretical foundations of next-generation AI agents, this could be your ideal opportunity to make a lasting impact.
