They are expanding their teams to pioneer LLM advancements throughout their business, and they want you – a Senior Staff/Principal Scientist – to be an integral part of this exciting journey.

Your role will involve applying Language Models to a variety of products, including multimodal systems, dialog systems/conversational AI (chat and voicebots), and diverse NLP solutions, ranging from call transcripts to named entity recognition and trust & safety.

In this position, you will conduct research, design, build, and deploy transformer-based models for large-scale production. Your responsibilities include fine-tuning Language Models for various conversational AI products, including multimodal solutions that support both text and image. You will take charge of the development, training, and testing of large-scale models, emphasizing latency, quality, safety, and cost reduction to minimize hallucinations.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with R&D, platform engineering, and product management teams, contributing to the design and architecture of data collection and processing pipelines for model training.

This role presents ample opportunities for growth. As a Senior Staff member, you'll quickly transition into a managerial role, building and leading your own team. The company are pre-IPO but you'll be part of a well-established, well-funded organization that is generating substantial revenue.

Your background should encompass a minimum of 7 years of experience in Machine Learning/Deep Learning post-Masters. PhDs with less industry experience (PhD + 4 years) will also be considered. Your expertise should primarily lie in NLP, Conversational AI, or related fields. Recent experience should include production work, fine-tuning Language Models, and extensive involvement with transformer-based architectures.

This is a hybrid role based in the Bay Area or NYC, with two days per week in the office. Competitive basic salaries, approximately $220,000 (negotiable based on experience), are complemented by generous stock options, annual bonuses, 401k match, healthcare (medical, dental, vision), and substantial PTO.
