Job Description

Conversational AI has gained significant traction over the past few years. Coupled with generative AI, we're witnessing some of the most advanced conversational AIs to date.

If you're reading this, you're probably interested that we're hiring Applied ML/Research Engineers for a company in the Voice AI space that has built advanced and intelligent AIs at a significant scale, rolling solutions out across some of the world's largest companies.

This company has a track record of doing this, and now they're back for more with their cutting-edge Voice AI solution. This is not a business merely wiring together public APIs. They have built their very own proprietary AI solution.

You'll join a strong team not only with deep technical ML experience but also as an actively publishing organization, focused on maintaining an excellent innovation culture.

Aside from the technical aspect, their team consists of caring, passionate, and self-aware individuals. This makes for a great environment where communication flows freely. Your ideas and suggestions are always heard in this intellectually stimulating environment, as you work closely with your peers to introduce the latest and greatest approaches to their products.

Day-to-day, you'll be building cutting-edge models, working with transformer architectures for NLU, NLP, and an array of language models from LLMs to more traditional approaches. You'll own NLU projects, work on model pipelines, measure performance, and ensure models are optimal. Keeping up to date with the latest research, you'll experiment and apply new approaches to your work.

Your background should be in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including model building, a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures. Experience applying transformer model architectures to NLU & NLP challenges is crucial. Language modeling should be familiar to you, and more recently, you'll have been exploring LLMs, including fine-tuning models.

Python and PyTorch experience is expected. If you have a PhD, that would be ideal. A Master's in AI or Computer Science or related studies, plus significant industry experience, is also considered.

You'll really stand out if you're an author of research publications at top-tier conferences.

As for your package, you'll receive a competitive salary. For Senior Engineers, salaries start from circa $200k, depending on your experience. You'll get a 401k match, unlimited PTO, stock options, and full medical coverage for yourself and your family members, including health, dental, and eye care.

You'll be based in the Bay Area, or willing to move there, as they offer a hybrid working environment, with 3 days per week on-site.
