Job Description
Are you looking for a Research role where you can leverage the latest approaches in generative modelling for vision?
Not only that, you'll join a researcher led business. The Founder and Head of AI both are Computer Vision PhD's and research backgrounds, so they have created a true research culture. You'll have the time to go deep on relevant research, present your own ideas and make a huge impact.
You’ll be joining a startup focused on building tools that accelerate model development, including leveraging generative vision to create synthetic datasets for complex scenarios. Novel view synthesis, 3D reconstruction, image generation will be some of the topics the team are working on.
Founded in 2023, the company has already gained strong traction, securing $2.5 million in funding, acquiring a major customer, and receiving a research grant. With over two years of runway, you’ll have the time to thoroughly research and innovate alongside the team!
You’ll come on board as the team completes their MVP build, but there’s still significant research ahead. You’ll work closely with the founding researcher to explore the latest approaches in Vision generation, applying cutting-edge papers and running experiments. The team implements papers published within the last two weeks, showing their commitment to staying at the forefront of state-of-the-art research. They also have plans to publish their own papers in the future.
Your impact will be immediate, shaping the future of the product. You'll collaborate closely with the founding researcher to expand the team’s research capacity and solve unique, complex challenges. While the role is primarily focused on research and experimentation for now, as the company grows, it will evolve into an Applied Research role. You’ll have end-to-end involvement from research through to production.
You should have solid research experience, either through a PhD or research-intensive roles. You’ll be skilled at implementing research papers and writing high-quality code. Being the first author on vision generation papers is essential. Experience in computer vision and generative modelling in diffusion models, GANs, LVM/Transformers. Familiarity with 3D neural rendering technologies like Gaussian splatting or NeRFs would be great.
This is a fully remote position, and you can be based anywhere however, the tech team primarily works in European time zones, with a one-hour overlap with Pacific time twice a week.
The salary for this position is approximately $120,000 (negotiable), and as an early employee, you’ll also receive equity.
If you have research experience in vision generation and have been the first author on relevant papers, apply today for immediate consideration. Everyone will get a response.
