Job Description

A start-up in the AI and Speech domain is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer, focused on Speech Data to join their team as they scale.

You’ll develop and operate pipelines for large-scale speech data processing and build algorithms for training speech ML models. Researching new approaches, including model training, evaluation of speech ML models and gain insights into enhancing model performance through various data methods and/or tools.

You'll be responsible for improving the model quality. More specifically, own the full life cycle of ML training data acquisition, data processing, data selection, model training, model evaluation, results analysis, and using the results as feedback for deciding the next steps on the data acquisition / selection process. 

Your background will include large-scale data processing, proven experience in training Speech models, and experience in speech and/or audio processing. You must have significant industry experience, at least 4 years after education. 

As far as technical skills go – you’ll be proficient in Python, used to building models in PyTorch (Tensorflow experience also considered) and be used to building data processing pipelines in Apache Spark, Apache Beam or similar.

If you have experience in C++ and GCP, that would be desirable but not essential.

You’ll be based remotely in the US, although there is the option to be based on site 2-3 days per week in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Salaries range from $170,000 - $220,000 depending on experience. You’ll also get stock options.
